A human approach to personal finance
Welcome.
This blog was born from a deep curiosity about finance — but not only in its mathematical or technical aspects.
Yes, I love understanding numbers, investments, retirement planning, compound interest, and the way money can grow over time. But what interests me even more is everything surrounding money and how it influences our daily lives.
Why do some people earn a good living but live under constant stress? Why do we have such difficulty talking about money with our children, our partner, or our family? Why do some financial decisions bring us a sense of freedom while others create anxiety, guilt, or pressure?
Finance isn't limited to financial products or investments. It also touches on marriage, relationships, family wealth, gifts, the cost of living, rent increases, our relationship with work, our ambitions, and even our personal definition of success.
It was this more human, psychological, and realistic vision of money that I wanted to explore through this blog.
I read a great many books on finance, economics, the psychology of money, human behaviour, and wealth management. Many of these works draw on research, statistics, studies, and concrete data. I enjoy taking these concepts, understanding them deeply, and then reflecting on how they can realistically apply to our reality here in Québec.
I therefore share my reading summaries, reflections, and commentary on various books that push us to think differently about money, work, time, and success.
I also take many courses and training programs in various fields related to finance, particularly in taxation, family wealth planning, and other subjects that directly affect our financial lives. I am someone who is constantly seeking to learn, to better understand, and to continue educating myself.
This blog is therefore a space where I share what I learn, what I observe, and how these concepts can be concretely applied in our everyday lives.
I don't claim to hold the absolute truth or to replace professional advice tailored to your personal situation. I simply enjoy learning, analyzing, and making financial subjects more accessible through a more human lens.
This blog aims to be different from what is typically found in Québec. Here we talk as much about financial psychology as about investing, as much about human behaviour as about numbers.
