"There's no single model for success. Everyone moves at their own pace. The important thing is to start somewhere."
My reflections come largely from my personal experience. Some people may recognize themselves completely in my journey, others less so — and that's perfectly normal. But I genuinely believe that everyone can take a small part of my story and adapt it to their own reality.
Education and skills — my first lever
One thing I find particularly important is education and developing your skills. Not everyone wants to become an entrepreneur, and that's not necessarily the right path for everyone. But today, in 2026, I believe it has become essential to find ways to increase your income or develop expertise that opens more doors.
Going back to school — an investment in itself
Myself, after several years as a consultant, I asked: what could open even more possibilities for me? That's what pushed me to consider an IT college certificate — to acquire new skills and offer more services.
A specialized skill changes everything
People who hold a professional license or offer specialized services often manage to earn a higher income. Insurance, finance, technology, consulting — these are the skills that give more financial flexibility.
Even $20 can make a difference
We often tend to underestimate small amounts. But when you develop the habit of saving regularly, even modestly, it can change many things in the long run — obviously, when your financial situation allows it.
"I prefer to work hard now while I have the energy, so I can be more at ease later."
Multiple income streams — my reality
Today, I think having a single income source can be difficult for many people, especially with today's cost of living. When you're on your own or don't have a very high salary, saving can become a real challenge.
What helped me a lot was offering services alongside my main job. I've worked for employers, but I've also developed my own projects and worked with my own clients. This allowed me to supplement my income while maintaining a certain quality of life.
I'm not saying it's easy. It takes time, energy and discipline. But I've always had this mindset: work hard now to be more at ease later. And invest every extra dollar earned — even $20 — rather than spending it.
What I learned about wealth
Time is the real capital
Money invested early is worth much more than money invested late. Every year you wait costs tens of thousands of dollars in the long run.
Start small, stay consistent
$50 every two weeks for 20 years can become more than $100,000. It's not the amount that matters — it's the consistency.
Mindset first
See every expense as a conscious choice. Every dollar not invested today is several dollars lost in 20 years.
In the end
I believe there is no single model for success. Everyone moves at their own pace. The important thing is to start somewhere, stay consistent and gradually build a life that brings more stability, freedom and peace of mind.
This blog is my journey — imperfect, honest, human. If a single idea here helps you take one step toward a better financial situation, that's all I hope for.
